The Edge Crush Tester (ECT) is a precision testing instrument designed to measure the edgewise compression strength of corrugated board, cardboard and other packaging materials. The machine applies controlled compressive force to a test specimen until it reaches its failure point. The measured value helps manufacturers determine the strength and load-bearing capability of corrugated packaging materials. An Edge Crush Tester is widely used in paper and packaging industries for evaluating board quality. Depending on the fixtures supplied, some models can also perform Edge Crush Test (ECT), Ring Crush Test (RCT) and Flat Crush Test (FCT).
Key Features
- Accurate measurement of edge crush strength
- Digital display for clear test readings
- High-precision load measurement system
- Adjustable testing speed
- Helps evaluate corrugated board quality
